To all of our patients,
We hope you and your families remain well during this challenging time.
We write to inform you that the Victorian Government and DHHS restrictions in relation to continued allied health treatment have recently been updated to reflect lighter restrictions overall.
What are the new updates?
From September 28, 2020, CHH can provide face-to-face osteopathic services to those patients:
- that require essential treatment to prevent deterioration in functional independence which would result in an escalation of care needs (such as increased frequency in treatment, a significant increase in pain or a substantial increase in recovery time as a result of delayed treatment).
- for assessment and diagnostic purposes for those people whose care has been delayed during stage 4 restrictions and where further delay likely to result in deterioration (e.g. diagnostic imaging and assessment for prescription of assistive technology).
At this stage, routine osteopathic care is still not permitted.
What does this mean for osteopathic treatment at CHH?
If you believe you require treatment, or you are unsure whether you fit the updated criteria as per above, please do not hesitate to call the clinic to speak with an Osteopath, who will determine if you qualify for treatment. A series of questions will guide this determination. Please note that a GP referral is not required. If you do not meet the criteria for treatment, your Osteopath will happily give you advice to assist you remotely and discuss rebooking a future appointment with you once restrictions are eased further by the Victorian Government and DHHS.
What about Myotherapy and Remedial Massage Therapy at CHH?
At this stage, Myotherapy and Remedial Massage Therapy is still unavailable at CHH, due to current government restrictions in place. As soon as we re-open these services, you will be notified.
What about Pilates at CHH?
Online CHH Pilates continues to operate during the current restrictions. Please contact the clinic to book your session and/or for further information.
Please note our online booking service is still currently unavailable. Instead, please contact us via our website enquiry form at www.canterburyhealthhub.com.au or simply call us at the clinic on 9836 3688.
We will continue to keep you fully updated on all CHH services as restrictions continue to ease.
Take care everyone and stay safe,
The CHH team
