Will Jenkins joins the team at CHH as a Dietitian!

Will Jenkins joins the team at CHH as a Dietitian after graduating from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science (with Honours) and a Master of Dietetics.

Get to know Will

Will grew up in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs and has always had a love for sport and healthy living. Through his sport, he developed an interest in food and nutrition, its role in sport performance and its importance in improving overall health and wellbeing. As a result, this led him to study Exercise and Sports Science at University.

Will’s Honours degree included a research project investigating how exercise changes muscle and mitochondrial genes, as well as muscle and exercise performance. Throughout his career to date, Will has worked at numerous allied health clinics throughout Melbourne, the Austin Hospital (working with patients in both acute and long-term care), the Baker Institute and also Lap Surgery Australia. Furthermore, as an Accredited Sports Dietitian, Will has worked with a range of sports people and athletes to improve their performance, manage their health conditions, enhance recovery and improve body composition. He has also worked as a 'Life! Program facilitator', helping people improve and manage their diabetes.

Will is a friendly, dedicated and experienced practitioner. He prides himself on helping his clients improve their health and nutrition through individualised plans, to help them achieve their health, food and nutrition goals. He works collaboratively with medical practitioners and allied health professionals in providing the most up-to-date dietietic advice, treatment and management, for improved client outcomes.

Will has continued building his skills over the years, completing the Sport Dietitians Australia course for accreditation as a Sports Dietitian, Level 2 ISAK Anthropometrist (skin folds) accreditation, and a Certificate 3 and 4 in Personal Training.

Will is an avid tennis player and in his spare time, he enjoys playing and competing in local competitions. He also regularly attends the gym to maintain his fitness. Outside of this, Will enjoys finding a good coffee and a chat.
