Nathan Switkowski

Nathan Switkowski graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) and a Bachelor of Health Science.

Nathan grew up in Melbourne’s North East suburbs playing high-level basketball and football for local clubs. His strong sporting interest and involvement within the local community carried through to his adult years and is a driving factor behind his eagerness to study and work in the field of Osteopathy.

Nathan knows first hand what it’s like to experience lower back pain. In fact, he originally discovered Osteopathy as a result of his own back injury. He found himself in pain and unable to live life the way he wanted to. He saw an Osteopath for treatment, which enabled him to return to all his activities pain-free! This experience inspired him to study Osteopathy, so that he too could help people reach their full potential and improve the quality of their lives.

Nathan is a dedicated practitioner who prides himself on concise treatment plans and fast results. He is passionate about working with his patients to help them reach their goals, be it to improve general muscle tightness or stiffness so you can enjoy gardening, walking or golf without those aches and pains, or to help you to achieve your exercise goals at the gym or Pilates. It may also be to recover from an injury so you can get back to what you love doing.

He enjoys helping his patients to understand their musculoskeletal conditions, whilst also educating them on ways to help themselves along their journey to improved health and wellbeing. He adopts a wide range of osteopathic techniques and enjoys treating people of all age groups. He is also qualified to perform dry needling and myofascial cupping.

Over the past three years, Nathan has worked for the Western Bulldogs Football Club as a sports trainer. This invaluable experience working alongside elite athletes sparked a special interest in treating acute musculoskeletal injuries. While at the club, he was fortunate to be involved in the 2016 AFL and VFL premierships.

In his spare time, Nathan enjoys staying active at the local gym and playing competitive basketball. He also enjoys socialising with mates and cheering on his beloved ‘Doggies’ on the weekend.
