Emily grew up in country South West Victoria, where there wasn’t much else to do but play sport. Emily enjoyed playing all sport as a child and teenager, with her specialty being netball. With both her parents being nurses and spending much of her childhood in and around the local hospital, Emily knew her career would end up in the health profession. She has worked in busy Melbourne & Geelong clinics since graduating in 2014 and now proudly calls Geelong home.

Emily enjoys keeping fit and healthy herself, and loves encouraging patients to do the same. She was a swimming coach for 10 years and regularly incorporates swimming-based rehabilitation as part of her osteopathic practice.

Emily is an extremely passionate and enthusiastic Osteopath and enjoys treating patients of all ages. She loves the holistic approach it has, incorporating education, dry needling and rehabilitation into her treatments and management of patients. As a headache sufferer herself for many years, Emily particularly enjoys treating this condition, as she is able to draw on her experiences (having trialled what has and has not been successful) and use this to her advantage in achieving positive patient outcomes.

Emily is eager to continue her Professional Development and has completed extra courses in Paediatric Osteopathy, Mat Pilates, Dry Needling and Balanced Ligamentous Tension (gentle, indirect osteopathic series of techniques that can be really useful for acute conditions and/or those patients that prefer a gentle approach).

Outside of work you will find Emily at the beach, spending time with family, especially her niece and nephews, going out for dinners or travelling with her partner and baking the odd treat to share with colleagues!
