Jenna McCallum
Remedial, Sports & Relaxation Massage Therapist
Jenna joined Canterbury Health Hub in 2022 after completing a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University and a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy in NSW.
Jenna’s interest in Remedial Massage developed from an active childhood playing court sports and growing up in the country. This led her to studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science. After graduating, she wanted to continue helping people in a manual therapy setting, leading her to complete the Diploma of Remedial Massage.
Jenna is a warm and empathetic therapist. She believes that treatment should be tailored to the individual’s presentation and health goals. Her previous studies have given her a thorough understanding of human anatomy and underlying pathophysiology of a range of conditions affecting the human body. She utilises a holistic approach to treatment that includes a range of remedial techniques, including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, muscle energy technique and trigger point therapy, while also incorporating take-home advice to help support exercise, ergonomic and lifestyle changes outside of the clinic. Her particular treatment interests include headaches, sports massage (particularly pre- and post-event treatment and prevention), lower back and neck pain and relaxation massage.
Outside of the clinic, you will find Jenna in a Pilates class, sneaking in a beach walk when the weather is nice, listening to a podcast and supporting (or sometimes crying about) the mighty Bombers.
