Jessie Ji
Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Jessie Ji graduated from Torrens University (formerly Southern School of Natural Therapies) in 2019 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture), and also holds a Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy. She is a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner with AHPRA and has completed training in Master Tung’s Acupuncture Technique, Facial Acupuncture and Posture Correction (Anatomy Trains). Jessie regularly travels to China for ongoing professional training to stay updated on the latest Acupuncture and herbal prescription skills.
Jessie’s journey to becoming a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner began with her passion for understanding the mind-body connection. Initially, she studied hypnotherapy, driven by a desire to help people overcome mental and emotional challenges. However, as she delved deeper into holistic healing, Jessie realised that her true calling was to address the body and mind as one interconnected system. Following her heart, she chose to study Chinese medicine, drawn to its comprehensive and natural approach to wellness. Through her own healing journey, including overcoming postpartum depression with the help of TCM, Jessie’s belief in traditional healing practices grew stronger. This experience shaped her commitment to guiding others toward balance and vitality using natural, time-tested methods.
Jessie sees working with patients as a collaborative journey to restore health and vitality. Her primary aim is to listen, understand, and address the root cause of health issues, rather than just managing symptoms. Jessie takes pride in empowering her patients with knowledge and guidance, fostering long-lasting improvements through holistic care. She has a strong foundation in clinical reasoning and combines acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle recommendations to achieve optimal results.
Skilled in Master Tung’s acupuncture techniques, facial acupuncture for skin rejuvenation, and posture correction acupuncture to prevent recurring pain and injury, Jessie tailors each session to meet the unique needs of her patients. She has a special passion for women's health, including menstrual health, fertility support, and menopause management, and has extensive experience in pain management, addressing chronic pain, headaches, nerve pain, and musculoskeletal issues with targeted therapies.
As a mother of three, she is particularly dedicated to supporting children’s health, helping manage common childhood conditions like colds, flu, asthma, eczema, and digestive issues with gentle, compassionate care. Additionally, Jessie focuses on managing stress and emotional well-being, helping patients overcome lingering post-COVID symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, and respiratory issues. Jessie’s dedication to her patients, combined with her empathetic and knowledgeable approach, makes her a trusted practitioner who genuinely cares about helping others achieve their health goals.
Outside of work, Jessie is a devoted mum to her three children, including two toddlers and a teenage son, who keep her life full of energy and joy. She loves spending quality time with her family and exploring Melbourne’s vibrant cafe culture, especially seeking out remote village spots where she can soak up the sun and enjoy a peaceful moment. Balancing her professional and personal life with grace, Jessie believes in the importance of self-care and creating moments of tranquility amidst the busyness of everyday life.
