Elle Fernon
Osteopath
Elle graduated in 2008 from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine) and a Masters Degree in Osteopathy. She has also completed a further Post Graduate Certificate in Neonatal and Infant Paediatric Manual Therapy.
Elle has been an Osteopath for over 14 years and has practiced in both Victoria and NSW. After University, she worked in a clinic with a primary focus on pregnant women and babies. As her career has progressed, she has developed a broader scope of treatment and enjoys treating the whole family unit, from parents, to their kids, aunties, uncles, grandparents and everyone in-between. She also has experience in treating professional musicians.
Elle prides herself on a relaxed and friendly approach to make patients feel at ease during a treatment. Her treatment style varies from patient to patient and can include stretching, massage, joint mobilisation techniques and cupping. She can use gentler techniques where appropriate, particularly for people with chronic conditions or when working with children and older adults.
Along with manual therapy, an important part of her treatment includes management, such as exercises/stretches, ergonomic strategies and other lifestyle modifications to help you achieve your health goals.
Outside of work, Elle can be found with a coffee in her hand running after her two very energetic young boys. She also enjoys boxing for exercise and spends as much time as she can travelling and searching for great new restaurants. Having lived most of her life in the City of Boroondara, she can give you a few hints on some of the best local places!
