Lauren’s interest in Myotherapy developed through her own experience with injuries sustained in the sporting arena, participating in both netball and horse riding. These experiences led Lauren wanting to help others manage their pain.
Lauren is a warm, dedicated and caring therapist. She is passionate about treating a broad cross-section of the community and aims to understand each patient, to discover the cause of their problem, rather than only treating symptoms. She also provides clients with the knowledge and confidence to understand their condition, to assist in creating positive change and enhanced quality of life.
Lauren’s interest in the sporting field has led her to currently work for the AFL Richmond Football Club, working alongside elite athletes to better their performance and aid recovery. Lauren brings these skills and experiences to Canterbury Health Hub, assisting her active patients with their injuries and recovery.
Lauren incorporates a variety of manual therapy techniques in her treatments, such as soft tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, dry needling, cupping, joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques and corrective exercises. These techniques are specifically tailored to each patient, to achieve the best possible outcomes. She particularly enjoys treating acute neck and upper back conditions, repetitive strain injuries, sports injuries, headaches, postural complaints, plantar fasciitis, sciatic pain and providing pregnancy massage.
In Lauren’s spare time, she enjoys being active, playing netball, hiking and going to the gym. She loves spending time with family and friends and follows the AFL, cheering on her beloved Tigers on the weekend!
