Melissa began her professional journey in 1997 as an Assistant Psychologist in London. However, during her time abroad, life steered her in a new direction. Upon returning to South Africa, she transitioned into the health and wellness industry, commencing further study at the Sports Science Institute and laying the foundation for a long and rewarding career in the field.
At the end of 1999, Melissa relocated to Melbourne, Australia, and began her fitness career under the mentorship of Pete Ellis and Tim Schleiger at Two Good Personal Trainers in South Yarra. She then launched her own business, Fitness&Health2U, which combined lifestyle counselling, Pilates, and personal training. She successfully ran the company for over 13 years, developing a loyal client base and a reputation for her personalised, evidence-based approach.
With nearly 25 years of experience in the wellness space, Melissa has also spent the past 10 years mentoring wellness entrepreneurs as a business development consultant, supporting them in building meaningful, purpose-driven practices.
In 2021, she co-founded Younger For Life, a vibrant health and lifestyle community focused on self-healing, longevity, and the use of food as medicine. Alongside her brother and his team, she helped launch Cal20, a low-dose, highly bioavailable calcium supplement formulated to support bone density, resilience, and healthy ageing.
As she approached 50, Melissa’s passion for alternative therapies and longevity science led her to Red Light Therapy. After experiencing its profound benefits firsthand, she now dedicates her clinic time to helping others achieve optimal health through light-based healing. Her work is firmly grounded in scientific research and a personalised approach to wellness.
Over the past two years, Melissa has witnessed transformative results in her clients, including improved sleep, reduced pain, enhanced skin health, and renewed vitality. She is deeply committed to her clients' physical and mental wellbeing and finds great joy in helping them reclaim control of their health.
Melissa lives in Melbourne with her husband and three children. Outside the clinic, she’s an avid hiker and outdoor fitness enthusiast, passionate about empowering others to live healthier, more vibrant lives.
