David Morgan joins the Canterbury Health Hub team as an Osteopath after graduating from RMIT University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy).
Get to know David
David discovered Osteopathy during a previous career where prolonged hours at the desk resulted in chronic neck pain and headaches. Osteopathy enabled David to manage these conditions, which sparked an interest in assisting others in the way in which he was helped.
David is a friendly, caring and knowledgeable Osteopath, who takes time to listen and cater treatment plans to patients’ goals. He complements his manual therapy with pain education and self-management strategies in the form of strengthening or mobility exercises, to empower patients to take an active role in their health.
Having experienced chronic neck pain and headaches, David gains a lot of satisfaction from treating these conditions, as well as those affecting the spine, pelvis, ribs, jaw and limbs. He also likes to help workers with their postural strains having previously worked in accounts, live events and warehousing and experiencing firsthand how the body is used in these work environments.
Outside of work, David enjoys music and playing guitar, having previously gigged regularly around Melbourne. To stay active, David regularly does resistance training and Pilates. He also likes spending time with family and friends, board gaming, reading and following the NFL – that is if he can find time when he is not running around with his one-year-old son or dog!
